Some Other Pragmatic Functions of Ke- in Spoken Persian

Abstract

The particle "ke" is an interesting and important grammatical morphemes in Persian for which several functions are known in written Persian. However, this particle has some pragmatic functions in spoken Persian which lead us to study it apart from the usual functions of a grammatical morpheme. In This article, some pragmatic functions of "ke" are introduced, according to the data recorded from casual speech, in order to provide the reader with a complete picture of the functions "ke" may have in Persian.
