Abstract

We wish to express our gratitude to each of the contributors, whose ground-breaking research on Kurdish and related languages is brought together in this special issue. We were honoured to benefit from the expertise and support of a leading researcher and author in Iranian linguistics, Erik Anonby of Carleton University, who as guest editor facilitated the special issue publication process with enthusiasm and acumen. The generous assistance of our colleague Mehdi Fattahi, who worked hard to provide a flawless English proof, is in evidence in the coherence and quality of the final product. Special thanks are due to many colleagues who as reviewers contributed to the excellence and timely publication of the manuscripts. We would also like to express our appreciation to members of the editorial team, Shoja Tafakkori Rezayi, Ladan Javaheri, Nasrin Azizi, Elham Karami, Hoda Rezaei, and our editorial assistant Maryam Hoseini, who were present in all stages of the publication process. Alireza Noruzi has worked diligently to ensure that our journal meets the international standards for the academic publication, and we are indebted to him. Finally, we express our ongoing gratitude to the Research Office of Razi University for their support and funding of this journal.
